| | You’re invited! Registration is open for the Healthy Oceans Coalition and Inland Ocean Coalition’s Ocean Climate Conversations webinar on Thursday, July 30 The Healthy Oceans Coalition (HOC) and the Inland Ocean Coalition (IOC) are long-time partners in movement building and advocacy for ocean health and conservation. It is our collective aim to offer, amplify, and support policies, stewardship, educational initiatives that protect and conserve the ocean, coasts, Great Lakes, and everywhere in between. We're excited to announce that we are collaborating to co-host a webinar series highlighting the intersections between climate change, the ocean, and society. During our inaugural webinar on Thursday, July 30th from 3-4pm PT/6–7pm ET, we will host an interactive dialogue about the plastic pollution crisis with the following expert panelists: Registration is open through July 30. In addition to joining us on July 30th, we encourage you to join the global movement to break free from plastic by signing your name in support of the Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act. This bold federal legislation was introduced by U.S. Senator Tom Udall (NM) and U.S. Representative Alan Lowenthal (CA-47) to tackle the plastic pollution crisis. We welcome you to share this invitation with your colleagues, community, and networks either by forwarding this email, sharing this Facebook post, Tweet, or registration link and hope to see you there! |

| | | | Inland Ocean Ambassador Program |
| Earlier this year, our virtual Inland Ocean Ambassador Certification Program brought together 25 Ocean Ambassadors from 12 different states for a four-week intensive training on ocean leadership to further grow the inland ocean network. The inland ocean movement continues to serve as a voice for inland and coastal communities, and we were delighted to share that vision with our Ocean Ambassador cohort. If you are interested in joining our Ocean Ambassador Certification Program, please check our website for updates on when applications will open for the next program. We look forward to continuing to grow the inland ocean network with you! |
